Mulitple Dates (please read on)
I am very excited to offer this unique Clinic Series of 6 separate One-Day Horsemanship Clinics!

For Each Direction, you will learn:
-
5 Ways to Improve: Fine-tune your communication and skills
-
5 Ways to Progress: Unlock your horse's potential step-by-step
-
4 Ways to Be Clear: Strengthen your horse’s confidence through the clarity of your questions
-
3 Ways to Blend: Achieve a seamless flow between movements
-
clinic notes to take home
-
homework to practice when you get home
The Grand Finale (sixth clinic)
The final clinic brings everything together. Discover how to create meaningful, flowing interactions with your horse through movement and intention — a beautiful dance rooted in trust and understanding. This is the perfect prerequisite for exploring Liberty work. NOTE: This clinic is a free clinic to those students who have completed the first 5 clinics.
Flexible Options:
It is possible to participate in each clinic separately if desired as each stands on its own. Register for 1, 2, 3 or all 6. If you do register for all 5 the 6th is my gift to you.
Reserve Your Spot Today to be part of this unique journey. Spaces are limited as always to 6 to ensure a personalized experience.
So let’s dance with our horses and discover the magic that flows when heart, body, and intention align. ❤️🐴

Backward
BACKWORD is a difficult movement for horses for many reasons. First and foremost it is not a natural movement for them. They rarely do this in the wild other than during fleeting moments of play and falls into the category of dominance...who can move who's feet? However, moving backward helps with hindquarter strength and balance as well as determining spacial boundaries.

Forequarter and Hindquarter Yields
FOREQUARTER YIELDS can be a difficult exercise to teach horses, especially those who are confident in pushing into your space. When you add a human who is not sure how to teach the exercise to the situation, it can be unsafe. When we can have the language how to ask this, makes a difference in how your horse sees you as knowing how to handle any situation.
HINDQUARTER YIELDS are all about asking for your horse to see you and reconnect. It is also about taking the power out of that hindquarter that is the engine of horses and ask them to change their frame of mind and instead to start to have a conversation with you again.

Forward
FORWARD is the default of every horse and usually comes very easily especially when horses are fearful. But what if we could challenge this "forwardaholicism" to purpose and begin to have fun with puzzles of play but mostly to have a solid conversation between you for gate safety, obstacles and ultimately dancing at Liberty?

Bending
BENDING is an important exercise to teach on the ground for correct body flexion and removing braces in the horse’s ribs, shoulders, and body but it is so much more. Circles allow a horse to express itself more freely, therefore improving its mental, emotional, and physical health and well-being. They are very useful for teaching horses transitions as well as improving the quality of them. We can also use it to help horses that have more Whoa than Go and visa versa. However circles without a purpose can be very destructive causing a horse to tune out and shut down. This clinic will be taught as a tool to serve a purpose and give the horse the responsibility to keep thinking.
Sept 14 9-5
Sideways
SIDEWAYS is more than starting to ask for lateral movement it is the ultimate way of moving that is unnatural for them. The goal is always to ask our horses to think and this one is the perfect solution for them. It is also important for things like opening gates, moving closer to mounting blocks , and improving flexibility. It is also important when horses become emotional as it shifts their brian to the thinking side of their brain.

The Dance
THE DANCE is a free clinic for those who have participated, learned and practiced in all 5 clinics. It will be a time to gather and focus not particularly on one direction at a time but instead, start the flow of managing the horse's energy through space and time. It will be as if you have choreographed a dance together or composed a piece of music together. There will be different combinations ready for you to try and celebrate dancing with your horse. We may also try a few of these at Liberty as you have developed a much stronger bond of play and trust over the months.
