“it’s way more than riding...” Dream Feather Natural Horsemanship Centre Level 2 - “Harmony & Patterns” Once safety and basic skills are learned now you can build on these, and establish a deeper partnership with your horse. Your communication becomes much clearer as you begin to work farther away from your horse (22 foot line).  Level 2 is about confidence and harmony. Most of all, you will begin to have more fun with your horse. Most of all, you will begin to have even more fun with your horse now that you are safe and confident! What will be covered:       • We will add purpose to the 7 Games: learn to increase your Online skills and add interest to “The 7 Games”  with the use of an   obstacle  and Level 2 Parelli Patterns • Use of phases: from teaching to reinforcing - Make vs Want: • Help your horse get exuberance? • Transition to the 22 foot line • Introduction to Impulsion: Learn how straight lines and circles effect how horses think and how to begin a program to balance their           “Whoa and Go” • Introduction to Freestyle Riding and Level 2 Patterns • Proper saddle fitting strategies Note: due to the importance of maintaining the confidence of both student and horse, all  teaching points above may not be covered in the time allotted. Format: This is a two day course with two 3-hour teaching sessions each day (12 hours of instruction). Approximately half the time will be spent with ground skills and half on riding skills. Each participant will only move on to riding if both the horse and rider are ready. Participants will also have unlimited use of  Horse Playground before or after the clinic. Prerequisite: All participants should be comfortable walking and trotting their horses in an enclosed area prior to this clinic. You are not required to have attended a Level 1 Clinic but a thorough understanding of the basic concepts and skills of Level 1 and Advanced Level 1, is expected. Tools Required: Rope Halter, 12 foot line, 22 foot line, Carrot Stick, Savvy String, Parelli Natural Hackamore, saddle, saddlepad. Cost : $410 + GST per participant (limit of 6 students)             a 50% deposit must accompany the registration form.
